2026 is shaping up to be a really exciting year for us at Lindemann Care Home Group, with some big changes and even bigger plans ahead.
At the start of the year, we rebranded from Lindemann Healthcare, marking the beginning of a new chapter. Now as Lindemann Care Home Group, we’ve brought our award-winning homes – Morningside Manor, Lorimer House and Thorburn Manor – together under one clear identity.
We’re also looking ahead to the next addition to our family, with Cramond Manor Nursing Home opening this summer in north-west Edinburgh.
While our name has changed to Lindemann Care Home Group, what matters most remains the same. Our focus continues to be delivering exceptional care for older people here in Edinburgh. The new name simply helps us better reflect who we are and what we stand for.
Introducing Cramond Manor Nursing Home
One of the most exciting developments this year is the launch of Cramond Manor Nursing Home, opening in June 2026 in the north-west of Edinburgh.
This brand new, purpose-built 48-bedroom luxury care home will be the latest addition to our family-run group. As always, our aim is simple: to provide the highest standards of comfort, dignity and personalised care for our residents in a setting that truly feels like home.
Designed with Comfort in Mind
A lot of thought has gone into every detail at Cramond Manor, and it’s all coming together beautifully. Each floor will have its own carefully chosen colour palette, creating warm, calm and welcoming spaces. There will also be a private dining room, perfect for spending time with family and celebrating special moments together. When it opens in summer 2026, Cramond Manor will offer:
- 48 spacious single bedrooms, each with a modern en suite shower
- A bright, welcoming visitors’ café
- Multiple lounges with easy access to a secure garden and rooftop terraces
- Dedicated activity and lifestyle spaces
- Comfortable communal areas for both relaxation and socialising
A Great Location
Cramond Manor is based off Cramond Road South on Main Street, Davidsons Mains, a much-loved area in Edinburgh. Often described as a village within the city, it has a real sense of community, with independent shops, cafés and everyday essentials right on the doorstep. Nearby Barnton adds to the appeal, known for its leafy surroundings and peaceful feel.
With Cramond, the Firth of Forth, Corstorphine Hill and local golf courses all close by, residents will be able to enjoy the best of both worlds, green space and fresh air, alongside easy access to the city.
